Layar Player

Do you want to create an engaging augmented reality experience but don’t want its access limited to the Layar Reality Browser? With the Layar Player, you can do just that!

All of the immersive technology of the Layar platform is available in the Layar Player, but now within the context of your own application. Instead of redirecting users to download the Layar application, you can provide augmented reality to them directly without all of the heavy coding.

The Layar Player (now v2.0 with Layar Vision!) helps you provide your own context to augmented reality content presented to users and customers. By copy and pasting a few lines of code, your very own mobile application can feature the immersive and unique technology of augmented reality.

The Layar Player is currently only available for iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S running iOS version 4.3 or higher.

Snowboard Hero

The Bing-supported Snowboard Hero game uses the Layar Player as an augmented reality extension in the popular iPhone application.

In the game, users collect digital gold coins in the real world that count as extra credits.

Snowboard Hero was recently awarded "Best Sports Game" at the International Mobile Gaming Awards!

streetARt

The streetARt App can open your eyes to the public art, graffiti, tags, sculpture and more - no matter where you happen to find yourself.

With streetARt's Layar Player integration, users can view images of nearby street art overlaid on their actual location as well as add geo-tagged images of new street they discover.

There are already thousands of tagged streetARt images to view from all over the world, so the Layar Player makes it easy for users to discover the kind of art that is often hidden away in alleys or covered up by others.
