Introducing: Layar App Service

Chris Cameron November 13, 2012

The power of Interactive Print in your own branded app.

Today, we’re introducing Layar App Service - a service that can provide your brand with its own white label mobile application for viewing interactive print. In addition to featuring your content in the Layar App, you can now also provide an augmented reality experience for your customers in your own branded app.

Layar App Service is a simple yet powerful solution for companies that want to launch their own iPhone and/or Android Layar application without writing a single line of code. Just build a campaign in the easy-to-use Layar Creator, send us some assets and copy and we’ll take care of rest - building, testing and publishing your app!

We’ve teamed up with modern design magazine Dwell and online lifestyle retailer AHAlife.com to launch the very first use of Layar App Service. In the latest issue of Dwell magazine, you can shop for the products you see in the pages on AHAlife.com with the companion Dwell/AHAlife.com app for Android or iPhone. It works just like Layar, but provides Dwell and AHAlife.com with their own autonomous brand experience for their customers.

No hassle, no stress, no code! Here’s a breakdown of the benefits of Layar App Service.

  • Your own unique branding throughout the app, including colors, icons, copy and more.
  • Displays only your brand’s campaigns and content
  • Supports all content created with the Layar Creator
  • App store submission by Layar
  • Compatible with iPhone/iPad devices running iOS version 5.1 or higher and most devices running Android 2.2 or higher
